As if we haven’t had enough awesome stuff from THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, well another piece of awesome has landed. We know that the film has had this viral marketing going on, and they have taken that to a new level with a new viral video!
This viral video isn’t really a spoiler, if you have read the synopsis you will know anyway. It shows a news report for the mystery at the center of the story. It looks authentic; they have gone a great job of making it look realistic. If you saw this out of context you might think it was an actual real report, nice job to those who made this!
Hoping to distance himself from the fallout of a libel conviction, journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Craig) retreats to a remote island in Sweden’s far north where the unsolved murder of a young girl still haunts her industrialist uncle forty years later. Ensconced in a cottage on the island where the killer may still roam, Blomkvist’s investigation draws him into the secrets and lies of the rich and powerful, and throws him together with one unlikely ally tattooed, punk hacker, Lisbeth Salander (Mara).
Out on the 21st the film was directed by David Fincher, and it stars Rooney Mara (below), Daniel Craig, Stellan Skarsgård, Christopher Plummer, Robin Wright, Embeth Davidtz, Joely Richardson and Steven Berkof.
