Our main man Arrow dug the heck out of Julian Gibley’s A LONLEY PLACE TO DIE, and if you live in the New York area you have a chance to see it on the big screen.
While it is currently available on VOD IFC Films are screening it tonight and then a showing each day till Wednesday. For tonight and tomorrow night it screens at 12:10am and then the subsequent days it will be at 12:40pm. The location of the screenings is at Manhattan’s IFC Center at 323 6th Avenue. It certainly seems like the type of film perfect for the big screen experience so if you can go, do it!
A group of five mountaineers are hiking and climbing in the Scottish Highlands, practicing for a more dangerous ascent of the Eiger later in the year. On the second day of their trek one of the party hears a noise. They follow the sound and chance upon an air-pipe that is sticking out of the ground. They can hear the cries of a person from beneath the earth. They start digging and soon discover an eight year old Russian girl buried in a small chamber. She is terrified, dehydrated, half-starved and can’t speak a word of English.
