The horror market is filled with zombie films; from mainstream to shoe string budget indie, zombies are everywhere.
A new horror/comedy zombie genre film is biting its way onto DVD this October. It looks to bring in a new take on a subject we know only too well. GEORGE: A ZOMBIE INTERVENTION looks like a riot, something a little different and quite funny judging from the trailer. I am all for zombie’s film, but I tend to take a bit more notice when it looks unique and tries to add something to the subject.

Addiction can ruin lives, especially when you’re a zombie like George. After eating one too many people, George’s concerned friends decide it’s their job to support him on a journey to recovery. With the help of Barbra, a professional interventionist, George’s best friend Ben, ex-girlfriend Sarah, Sarah’s new boyfriend Steve, and George’s sister Francine gather at George’s house to confront him. Disaster unfolds as George evades his friends’ good intentions while his hunger for flesh grows stronger than ever. When the group decides to take a break from intervening, guests in the house start turning up dead – and eaten – but is George the one to blame, or does someone else in the house have a secret to hide? Full of deadpan humor and over-the-top gore, director J.T. Seaton’s gut-busting feature length debut proves that the first step towards recovery… is admitting that you eat people.
The film was helmed by J.T. Seaton and it stars Peter Stickles, Michelle Tomlinson and Lynn Lowry.
