Is Guy Pearce the latest to join Ridley Scott’s Prometheus?

Not that I’m the hugest Pearce fan, but that would be pretty awesome!

Our amigos over at CHUD got an interesting email today, one claiming that very casting tidbit. Guy Peace may be the latest to join the cast of Ridley Scott’s PROMETHEUS. You buyin’ it?

Here’s the message CHUD received:

“Evening Nick, my mate is working on Prometheus as OMITTED and met Guy Pierce on set today. She’s previously worked on OMITTED, OMITTED and OMITTED and I’ve no reason to believe she’s lying. I’ve not read anywhere about Guy being cast so thought it might interest you.“

Hardly substantiated, CHUD issued a disclaimer that this could all be a large hoax. Looking at Pearce’s IMDB page, he currently has three films in post-production and another two in pre-production. Since PROMETHEUS is currently filming, I suppose he has a small window that would allow him to partake in the epic sci-fi excursion.

As you know, PROMETHEUS stars Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron (below), Michael Fassbender, Idris Alba, Logan Marshall-Green, Rafe Spall, Sean Harris and Katie Dickie. The film comes out June 8th, 2012.

More on this soon, no doubt…
