All of us are fans of Syfy and their original movies. That much is indisputable. That’s why I’m writing a new column that goes into painstaking analysis and critique of the films, listing their merits while pointing out crucial flaws… Alright, mostly it’s just shit-talking about the movies, but if they’re fun, I’ll give them their due. (Please take a moment to check out my first review, of the hefty piece of scrap metal IRON INVADER.)

This Saturday sees Syfy’s latest effort AREA 51 (which they made with After Dark Films) bring the pain. It stars Bruce Boxleitner, Jason London, John Shea and Rachel Miner and was directed by Jason “Son of Sean” Connery. We’ve got a couple of clips to share with you that I think will sway you to tune in when it premieres. Then you can chime in when my column hits the following Monday morning. Awesome, isn’t it?!

Due to political pressure from the American public, the Air Force has decided to allow two well-known reporters limited access to the most secretive base on the planet. But when one of the base’s “long-term visitors” exploits this unprecedented visit as a chance to liberate himself and his fellow alien captives, Area 51 turns from a secure government base to a horrifying destination of terror.

Peep the clips below and be prepared to be stabbed, slashed and sprayed!

Vanessa Branch is a fine specimen, wouldn’t you say?
