Loved Ones’ Robin McLeavy to play Mary Todd in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter!

In a high-concept mash-up, Timur Bekmambetov has elected to entrust the lead performances in ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER to relative unknowns. First came the casting of Honest Abe himself, which went to Benjamin Walker. Now, Timur has assigned Walker his wifey!

According to Latino Review, Aussie actress Robin McLeavy (THE LOVED ONES, pictured) has been given the role of Mary Todd in VAMPIRE HUNTER. Word is she beat out Mary Elizabeth Winstead for the part.

As you may know, McLeavy burst onto the scene with a harrowing performance in last year’s THE LOVED ONES, the Aussie slasher-flick-meets-PRETTY IN PINK. Adorable, awkward, completely f*ckin’ maniacal…McLeavy nailed her part and instantly catapulted her name among the promising young actors to keep an eye on. I for one can’t wait to see what she does with the role of Mary Todd, but I haven’t read the text, so I really don’t know how the character is comported.
