It’s pretty fascinating to see how the trajectories of two hot young actresses (however real or perceived) have fared since costarring in the underwhelming JENNIFER’S BODY. The plain Jane of the film, Amanda Seyfried (pictured), has gone on to become an A-list caliber talent. The hottie in the film, Megan Fox, has given us the immortal JONAH HEX. You tell me who’s come out ahead…

And Ms. Seyfried is now padding her resume. Word from THR has the lovely-eyed blond set to star in a new thriller called GONE, which is setup at Summit and Lakeshore Entertainment. The project has been unveiled at the EFM in Berlin, where the film will now be sold to foreign buyers.
As the trade parses it:
The thriller revolves around a young woman named Jill (Seyfried) who returns home from her night shift to find her sister’s bed empty. She’s convinced the serial killer who kidnapped her two years before has come back to finish the job.
But the police do not believe Jill, who knows time is running out. With no one to turn to, she sets off to find her sister and face her abductor once and for all.
Brazilian filmmaker Heitor Dhalia (NINA, DRAIN, ADRIFT) has been tapped to direct GONE, and will start filming this April from a script by Allison Burnett (FAME, RESURRECTING THE CHAMP).
