New Rise of the Apes set-stills have Andy Serkis doing some motion capture

Last Friday we wrote about Fox’s decision to table Rupert Wyatt’s RISE OF THE APES a half year or so, bumping its original June 24th date to a November 23rd release. Now that we have an extra 5 months to dissect the origin story…how ’bout we start with a few more set-stills from the production? Sound good?

Unfortunately, we’re not afforded any shots of cuties Freida Pinto or Chelah Horsdal…but if seeing Andy Serkis wrangle a motion capture glove is sufficient enough…y’all are in luck. We also have some dude get his Frisco simian on…peep the lovely cable car in the background of one of the shots. Ah, nothing like my hometown!

Also starring James Franco, Tom Felton, Brain Cox, John Lithgow, Tyler Labine, David Hewlett, Sonja Bennett, Leah Gibson and Karin Konoval – RISE OF THE APES is set in present day San Francisco, the origin story deals with the aftermath of man’s experiments with genetic engineering that lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy. A chimp named Caesar (Serkis) leads the uprising among the apes after having been raised by a father-and-son scientist duo.

Keep it close for more RISE OF THE APES updates!

I couldn’t resist!
