We already knew that the highly-acclaimed INSIDIOUS – the new horror offering from James Wan- was getting an APRIL 1st release this year. The question has been: just how big of a release? That question has now been answered and should put smiles on the faces of those who might have worried that this was going to be in limited supply.

Via a press release we learn that the newly formed FilmDistrict will distribute the film and give it upwards of 2,500 screens to play with. Pretty good deal! INSIDIOUS, which received rave reviews when it premiered at the Toronto Film Festival (from our own Arrow, among others) concerns a family that moves into a house they discover is haunted.

Rose Byrne (pictured below), Patrick Wilson, Barbara Hershey and Lin Shaye star in the thriller, which was produced by Jason Blum, Steven Schneider and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY helmer Oren Peli. Wan’s SAW cohort Leigh Whannell wrote the script.
