A few days ago we brought along some words from Colin Farrell about the TOTAL RECALL remake he’s been linked to for months; the Irishman seemed a bit coy about admitting he’s actually been cast in the film, despite all the rumors we’ve been hearing suggesting otherwise… Thankfully, it all gets cleared up today.
In an interview with Collider, producer Neal Moritz sets the record straight with this quote: “We’re doing the movie with Colin Farrell.”
Sweet. Furthermore, you 3D haters will be pleased to know that you won’t have to get enraged about any awful post-conversion here. Or 3D at all, for that matter: “We’re not gonna do Recall in 3D, we decided that it would be too much.”
Double sweet… Moritz also had this interesting bit of info regarding the remake’s faithfulness to the source material (both story and film): “It’s closer to the book, the big difference is we don’t go to space.”
Make of that what you will. (I’ve never read Philip K. Dick’s story, so I’m not sure if this is a more or less faithful decision.) For the full interview with Moritz, head on over to Collider.
