The Roommate gets rated by the MPAA; teen partying is guaranteed

Minor, unsurprising news here regarding THE ROOMMATE, the guilty-pleasure in waiting starring Leighton Meester (is that not the dumbest name ever?) and Minka Kelly (okay, maybe that is). The MPAA, from high atop their mountain of judgment, has granted the film a rating, and it’s really not a shocker. I wish it were…

THE ROOMMATE will go out with a PG-13 rating; yes, it would have been sweet if the flick were worthy of an R, but there’s no doubt that the filmmakers had every intention of making this thing teen friendly when they were churning it out. The PG-13 comes courtesy of violence and menace, sexual content, some language and teen partying.

Yes, teen partying. Heaven help us.

The flick comes out in the US on FEBRUARY 4th, but doesn’t hit other countries until spring. For a full schedule of the roll out, click right HERE.
