If we’re not speculating on who is going to be in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, we’re wondering where the film will be shot. It has, for one reason or another, been a source of much debate: some sites say it’s definitely shooting in New Orleans, while others maintain that Chicago will still be Batman’s makeshift Gotham.

One site has gotten to the bottom of it. Seemingly, at least. Scene Louisiana, an entertainment magazine based in Baton Rouge, spoke with Ravi Mehta, SVP of Production at Warner Bros. You’d think he’d know the deal, right?

“I know they are going to the U.K., L.A. and there will be a third city.”

One would have to assume that the third city is Chicago, as Nolan shot the previous Batman movies in part there, but who knows? When asked if New Orleans is being considered, the Mehta responds “Well, I’m sure! Why not, right? You’ve guys have got great incentives and [we’ve had] positive experiences in Louisiana.”

Warner Bros. shot their 2011 epic GREEN LANTERN in Louisiana, which I believe helped spark some of the rumors regarding THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. However, we won’t know for sure until the thing actually starts filming; that’s set to begin in May.
