Heather Morris confirms Buffy rumors: “They’re considering me!”

A couple weeks ago came the rumor that “Glee” actress (and person I wouldn’t know if I tripped over her) Heather Morris was being considered to play “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” in Warner Bros.’ reboot of the property. The denials came swiftly, most notably from screenwriter Whit Anderson, who tweeted: “We’re not even *thinking* about casting yet. The script isn’t even written!”

Someone should tell that to Morris. Access Hollywood caught up with the actress at some function no one here cares about and broached the Buffy topic. “They’re considering me!” Morris said. “I found out and I almost peed my pants ‘cause I was so excited!”

Whether or not Morris found out the same way we all did – the internet – is unknown; I’d like to think she’d get some kind of confirmation from her agents that she was in the running for the role before blabbing it about town, but this is Hollywood, and everyone believes their own hype.

It’s also interested to note that Anderson’s “We’re not even thinking about casting” tweet has since been deleted. Now what do you make of that?
