Jaden Smith & M. Night Shyamalan orbit outer-space in new sci-fi adventure?

M. Night and small Willy Smith? Really?!?

EW has an interesting story out today that aligns the two names in a potential sci-fi adventure film called 1000 AE. While no plot details have been disseminated, Jaden Smith claims “we’re reading the script right now. I don’t want to give it away because that wouldn’t be tight, but it’s set in the future and it’s about a journey.”

Word is Shyamalan is slated to direct the film, which was specifically tailored for Smith after becoming somewhat of a bona fide star with THE KARATE KID redo. If this movie ever gets made with the two…it’ll be interesting to see how it results. One dude’s clearly past his prime, the other hasn’t even reached his.

Of course, 1000 AE may be curbed if a KARATED KID 2 is put into production. “They’re talking about it” says Smith of a Sony sequel. Of course they’re talking about it Jr., the damn film culled over $360 million worldwide. Maybe not your papa’s numbers…but still a hell of a take!

EW also mentioned a project called AMULET – a dark fantasy tale about two lost kids trying to find their mother – which both Jaden and his sister Willow have been long attached to.

But that’s not all…Smith may be in line to star in a Disney flick called MONSTER WITNESS RELOCATION PROGRAM.

Nothing is certain on any of these fronts at this point. Until we substantiate some of these projects, let us know which, if any, you would be most interested in seeing? Should Jaden pull a Macchio and do 3 KARATE KID flicks before moving on…or does the M. Night pairing seem like a good idea?

Mama Smith!
