More gooey infected are spreading a deadly, contagious disease in VIRUS X, formerly known as H1N1 VIRUS X. Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release the film this coming February, and DVD Active has just tossed up the official DVD cover, which you can peer at to the right..

Domiziano Arcangeli and Sybil Danning (yes, Sybil Danning) star in VIRUS X, which carries the following synopsis: For a group of medical scientists, time is not on their side when they are exposed to a hyper-mutant form of the H1N1 virus while in their lab. The team has only three days left to live with no hope of seeing the outside world again. But while they are trapped and fear for their lives, a deceitful head doctor is monitoring their every move. Suspicions arise, and the detained doctors must uncover the harrowing truth behind their deadly situation.

As of right now, it looks like the only known supplements on the DVD will be 2 featurettes (“The Making of Virus X”, “Behind the Scenes of Virus X”). What, no Danning commentary?

VIRUS X will spew onto the home video market on FEBRUARY 1st; for now, check out the icky trailer below.
