You won’t like Leighton Meester when she’s angry in this new Roommate poster

When the trailer for THE ROOMMATE hit a few months ago, it sent everyone to their Netflix queues (because who is going to see this in the theater?), as it seemed the perfect guilty pleasure to watch at home with a six-pack – and damn that niggling voice in your head reminding you you’ve still got to catch up on your Kurosawa and Bergman. Now the poster has hit, and it doesn’t really inspire the same shameless excitement, unfortunately; why not a trashy pic of Leighton Meester straddling a helpless Minka Kelly? Now that would sell some tickets…

In any event, the Christian E. Christiansen-directed film documents with unflinching honesty what happens when a deranged college freshman (Meester) becomes obsessed with her new roommate (Kelly). Hopefully at least one pillow fight ensues…
