With Harry Potter now in the rear view (at least on the production end), Daniel Radcliffe is now focusing on growing up and being a proper Brit actor… and he couldn’t have made a cooler choice than THE WOMAN IN BLACK, the new Hammer horror film. Here’s a picture, straight from Hammer’s official website, showing Radcliffe’s young lawyer walking along a misty, foreboding path, presumably to the ghostly main location of the film. In addition, we’ve got a video of Radcliffe doing an interview on the set; of course, it’s all Harry Potter talk, but at least you get to see a bit of the surrondings.
The story follows a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps (Radcliffe), who is ordered to travel to a remote village and sort out a recently deceased client’s papers. As he works alone in the client’s isolated house, Kipps begins to uncover tragic secrets, his unease growing when he glimpses a mysterious woman dressed only in black. Receiving only silence from the locals, Kipps is forced to uncover the true identity of the Woman in Black on his own, leading to a desperate race against time when he discovers her true intent.
Directed by James Watkins, THE WOMAN IN BLACK is currently shooting in the U.K. and will release sometime next year.
