The more press and promo material we see for John Landis’ new comedic horror remake BURKE AND HARE, the more evident it becomes the film is a black comedy rather than an equal parts genre blend…and you know what, the new one-sheet for the film goes a long way to back that up. You see their faces above…jolly, chipper, sideburned…only thing missing’s a pint and double-doober!
Only a few days old in the U.K., and still awaiting a U.S. release date:
BURKE AND HARE is a black comedy based on the true story about the famous murderers, ‘Burke And Hare’ follows the hapless exploits of these two men as they fall into the highly profitable business of providing cadavers for the medical fraternity in Nineteenth Century Edinburgh, then the centre of medical learning. The one thing they were short of was bodies.
Isla Fisher (below), Tom Wilkinson, Tim Curry, Christopher Lee, Jenny Agutter, Georgia King, Stephen Merchant, Hugh Bonneville and Jessica Hynes also partake in the zaniness.
