Far too long it’s been since writing about Hong Kong’s first slasher flick, DREAM HOME, the last time coming with a grittily dubbed trailer we shot at you back in April. Fast forward six months and what do we have? A goddamn distro-deal, that’s what!

Word is IFC has snared North American rights to Pang Ho-Cheung film, with plans to release the title under its increasingly impressive IFC Midnight faction. Plans have the film releasing in early 2011.

Co-written with Cheung by Chi-Man Wan and Kwok Cheung Tsang – DREAM HOME centers on:

Cheng Lai-sheung, a young, upwardly mobile professional finally ready to invest in her first home. But when the deal falls through, she is forced to keep her dream alive — even if it means keeping her would-be neighbors dead. Pang Ho-Cheung’s disturbingly imaginative violence unfolds against a backdrop of lifestyle fetishization and the housing market crisis in this metropolitan spin on Guignol horror.

Anthony Wong, Eason Chan, Michelle Ye Suen (below), Lawrence Chou, Derek Tsang, Juno Mak, Sin Lap Man, Wong Ching, Lo Hoi Pang and Josie Ho all play a part in the movie.

Keep it glued until we stake a legit release date!
