Francis Ford Coppola & Val Kilmer making secretive flick Twixt Now And Sunrise?

Well here’s the best news of the day so far…

Deadline is reporting Francis Ford Coppola (above) has teamed up with Val Kilmer to make a secretive horror flick called TWIXT NOW AND SUNRISE…and they’re already shooting in Napa, California!

Word is Elle Fanning and the great Bruce Dern are also in the cast, lending support to a “thriller with overtones of horror” about a horror novelist (Kilmer).

The story is based on a short-piece written by Coppola, who returns to the horror genre after two decades, when he directed BRAM STOKER’S DRACULA in 1992 (we also urge you to check out his 1960s genre work in DEMENTIA 13 and THE TERROR).

Okay, in theory this sounds terrific. But really, do you think Coppola has one last masterpiece in him? I know we’re bereft of detail at this point, but could this be the one? And what about Kilmer…he show enough lately to prove he’s still got the chops needed to carry an A-list feature?

Damn I hope so!
