Super gigantic colossal news coming out of Deadline.com right now, as the reliable site has just informed the world that Tom Hardy is reuniting with his INCEPTION director Christopher Nolan for the next BATMAN film, which is still untitled.

Hardy of course is also set to be the next Mad Max, but that flick has been delayed due to bad weather in Australia, so the man has some free time now – and what better way to spend it than in a sure-fire blockbuster from the world’s most exciting A-list director?

No word on which character Hardy will play; it’s not even assured that he’ll be tackling a villainous role, although as Deadline notes, you probably wouldn’t be far off if you made that assumption. (Could he be a demented Riddler?) If you’ve seen Hardy’s electric performance in BRONSON, you know there’s reason to get excited at the prospect of him going all-out as a Batman foe. That said, we’ll just have to wait and see…
