The good news is that, yes, Darren Lynn Bousman’s MOTHER’S DAY will receive theatrical distribution. The bad? We’ve got to wait until next year… But hey, at least someone picked it up. The Hollywood Reporter is saying that new company Gigapix Releasing has just acquired MOTHER’S DAY, as well as Twisted Pictures’ revenge thriller THE TORTURED and the vampire flick THE BLEEDING, and plans to give them US releases.

THE BLEEDING, which stars DMX, Michael Madsen, Vinnie Jones and Armand Assante (quite a cast there), is scheduled to be released later this year, while MOTHER’S DAY and THE TORTURED will open early next. Bousman’s film is expected to get a wide release – and based on The Arrow’s review, that’s well deserved.

Once these films have firm release dates, we’ll let you know!
