The Arrow in the Head gang has, for some time now, been suitably pumped for Christian Sesma’s action-thriller SHOOT THE HERO, starring Jason Mewes, Danny Trejo and major bad-ass Paul Sloan, who was cool enough to join Ammon and I on the podcast a few weeks back. The flick has been in existence for a while (we even did a Reel Action on it), but it hasn’t been available for wide consumption… until now. We just got some exciting release news for HERO, as well as an EXCLUSIVE behind-the-scenes look at the film, with an intro from Sesma and Mewes!
SHOOT THE HERO will be unveiled nationwide on Video On Demand and PPV, including Time Warner Cable and Direct TV, on OCTOBER 1st. Also, the flick will be released on DVD via Virgil Films & Entertainment on OCTOBER 19th.
The flick, which is a genre-twisting action/comedy about a 30-something couple who become unintentionally involved in a botched jewel heist while shopping for wedding rings, also stars Nick Turturro, Fred Williamson, Samantha Lockwood and Katie Morgan (who co-starred with Mewes in Kevin Smith’s ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO).
