Filmax thriller Kidnapped being sold ’round the world; plus new pic!

Good news for fans of Filmax, the Spain-based production company behind the [REC] films and the upcoming EXORCISMUS. Their newest thriller, KIDNAPPED, which revolves around the brutal kidnapping of a family, has been selling like gangbusters thanks to its secret Toronto screenings during the festival.

According to Screen Daily, the company secured sales to Universum for Germany, Gussi for Latin America and CCV Entertainment for Scandinavia… Distributors for the US and UK on the film are currently being negotiated with.

Jaime, Marta and their daughter Isa have just moved into a luxurious new house. Marta begins to prepare the dinner and puts a bottle of champagne on ice to celebrate the move. As night falls, three hooded men violently force their way into the house. Panic ensues and soon the real violence will begin.

Fernando Cayo, Guillermo Barrientos, Dritan Biba, Martijn Kuiper, Ana Wagener and Manuela Velles (pictured below) all star. The film will premiere at the Fantastic Fest on September 25 and will then screen at Sitges in Spain.
