Syfy is aiming to bring us another precious pile of crap with SWAMP SHARK, which boasts an all-star cast including Kristy Swanson, Robert Davi and D.B. Sweeney. Try to contain your excitement! The flick has just entered post-production and will air on the channel sometime next year. For now, we’ve got some artwork, a new synopsis and the hilariously bad trailer for your enjoyment! (Gotta love the line, “This isn’t a normal shark – it swims, it kills and it’s out there!” Yeah, nothing normal about that…)
A great white shark mutates and adapts to freshwater when a US Government bio-terrorism research facility spills its radioactive chemicals into the ocean. As the shark wreaks havoc on Mississippi River towns and threatens the freshwater system of the country, an embattled local fisherman and his hillbilly crew become destined to kill it.
Like so many before it, SWAMP SHARK just appears to be a broke-ass cover version of JAWS. But you’ve come to love these, you know you have. So wait no longer and feast you eyes on the trailer – and Kristy – below!
