October looks to make for some really interesting viewing this year, not the least of which includes AMC’s new zombie series “The Walking Dead.” And now that we’re only about 5 or 6 weeks out, the network has posted a trio of fresh TV spots for the sick looking Frank Darabont brainchild. Cop a gander below!
“Rick’s Gun,” the first clip, is only 6 seconds long…thereby needing no description.
Next up is “Hospital Corridor,” an eerie atmospheric look at a dilapidated emergency room. You can tell Darabont has his hand on this one, what with the lighting, pacing, sound and camera work, etc.
“Darkness,” our last clip, shows lead character Rick Grimes wade through utter blackness…striking a trusty match for a little visibility.
Invading the tube Halloween night – “The Walking Dead” revolves around an epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months, society has crumbled: There is no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV. Rick Grimes finds himself one of the few survivors in this terrifying future. A couple months ago he was a small town cop who had never fired a shot and only ever saw one dead body. Separated from his family, he must now sort through all the death and confusion to try and find his wife and son. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally begin living.
