Talk about perfect timing. Just as MACHETE releases and threatens to chop our faces off with its awesomeness, we get a VERY NSFW trailer for HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN, which, dare I say, looks even more amazingly gruesome. The trailer will actually be playing in front of a few select theaters in Canada, so unless you’re amongst the lucky bastards who figure out where exactly it will be playing, you’ll have to settle for the small screen for now. That’s okay though, because it’s still pretty amazing.

Gotta say, this appears to be the real deal. Low-budget, mean, dirty, filled to the brim with hookers, stick-ups and gobs of gore. It actually looks more like an cheap 80s flick than a grindhouse offering from the 70s – which is all good, of course!

HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN tells the story of a vigilante homeless man (Rutger Hauer) who pulls into a new city and finds himself trapped in urban chaos, a city where crime rules and where the city’s crime boss reigns. Seeing an urban landscape filled with armed robbers, corrupt cops, abused prostitutes and even a pedophile Santa, the Hobo goes about bringing justice to the city the best way he knows how – with a 20-gauge shotgun. Mayhem ensues when he tries to make things better for the future generation. Street justice will indeed prevail.

Hopefully we’ll get an idea of when we can see this sucker soon. For now, enjoy the hell out of the trailer! (A bit of warning though – it reveals A LOT of kills, so you might want to avoid it if you don’t want too much spoiled for you.)
