Imogen Poots  is a name I have a vested interest in, so it should come as no surprise that, while diggin’ a little dirt on the stunning English ingénue, I found she’s got yet another horror flick on the brink. A vampire flick at that…

Poots (pictured), who’s currently filming FRIGHT NIGHT for Craig Gillespie, also has Hideo Nakata’s CHATROOM in the can…and looks like she’s keeping the horror streak alive. A U.K. vampire-thriller called HELLO DARKNESS, which also stars Julie Christie and Dominic Cooper, seems to be picking up some serious pre-production steam. Check it…

From the writing/directing duo of Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland – HELLO DARKNESS follows a working class vampire who develops a taste for blue blood. Mark Cooper hit his prime in the early 1960’s and as a result of his “conversion” never left it. He still lives an ordinary life; working a night shift, paying the bills, taking out the bins, while having to deal, in a very practical way, with all the exigencies of vampire lore – from avoiding sunlight to drinking blood to confronting eternity.

Not much else is known about HELLO DARKNESS at this point, save for it holding an unspecified 2011 release.

Keep it dialed!
