An interesting story has ran out of the L.A. Times today, one that tracks a potential future project for ubiquitous character actor Danny Trejo. We all know the man, the myth…is set to lance his MACHETE across our throats this Friday, but aside from seeing in him cameo in any number of films, I don’t think we could ever know when Trejo would again enjoy a starring turn. SKINNY DIP sounds about right though, doesn’t it?!?

The Times has learned Trejo is in line to star in a new indie flick called SKINNY DIP, a revenge picture to be produced and likely directed by his own son, Gilbert. Word is Trejo’s MACHETE co-star Michelle Rodriguez is also set to join the production, which centers on a young woman who kills a policeman.

Gilbert Trejo, just 22, has spent his whole life growing up on film sets, so it only seems inevitable he pursue a vocation in the industry. He may co-direct SKINNY DIP with a young up-and-comer named, get this, Frankie Latina. Sounds like a perfect marriage to me!

Meanwhile, if you haven’t peeped our EXCLUSIVE NEW MACHETE CLIP, I suggest doing so ASAP.

Damn, I love this shot of Alba!!!
