Just premiered at UK’s Frightfest was F, a thriller in the vein of ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 or STRAW DOGS, about a school under siege by nasty punks. Doesn’t sound like much, but to see the trailer, which TwitchFilm just premiered, you’ll find that it looks a lot creepier than you might think. Actually, to me it looks like an unofficial sequel to ILS (THEM) – which is okay as I thought that was terrific. (Plus, dig on that image above! Nasty!)
Here’s the long synopsis for the flick, although really all you need to know is “Hoodie-wearing kids attack school”: Welcome to the Class of 2010. The college day ends, the school building becomes a vast complex of dark corridors, eerily quiet classrooms, empty save for a few staff and children. What none of the remaining teachers and pupils realize is tonight is going to be a night they will remember for the rest of their lives. Viciously attacked by a pupil in the past English teacher Robert Anderson was devastated when the governing board refused to back his lawsuit to avoid bad publicity and scandal. Now a burned-out, world-weary alcoholic trying to reconnect with his daughter, Anderson must finally face his most terrifying demons. For the school comes under relentless attack from a faceless threat intent on causing maximum mayhem. Alone Anderson must battle brutal bloodthirsty killers, and his deepest fears, in a desperate battle for the survival of those he holds most dear. Will lessons be learned?
Check out the trailer below. F, which was directed by Johannes Roberts, doesn’t have a release date yet, but we’ll be sure to let you know when it gets one! (Might IFC pick it up to show OnDemand..?)
