Here it is, at long last: the official four-and-a-half minute trailer for Frank Darabont and AMC’s “The Walking Dead”. yes, it’s the same as the bootleg one we showed you in July, but it’s a whole new experience now that it’s quality is crystal clear. As others have said before me, this looks like it’s mostly just showing footage from the premiere episode, but that doesn’t hold it back from being completely awesomely goosebump-inducing.
We also finally have a debut date: Halloween night at 10pm! Even cooler, the pilot will be 90 minutes long. Goddamn it October, hurry your ass up!
“The Walking Dead” revolves around an epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months, society has crumbled: There is no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV. Rick Grimes finds himself one of the few survivors in this terrifying future. A couple months ago he was a small town cop who had never fired a shot and only ever saw one dead body. Separated from his family, he must now sort through all the death and confusion to try and find his wife and son. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally begin living.
