But after the success of THE STRANGERS, Bertino was hired to pen its sequel, which he may or may not helm, as we know he’ll be tackling THIS MAN next, a fact based thriller produced by Ghost House Pictures. What then is the status of BLACK? We may have an answer…
Word from the sicko Bloody-D crew has it that Jonathan Jakubowicz, the Venezuelan director best known for SECUESTRO EXPRESS, is in line to direct BLACK for Rogue Pictures. It marks the man’s first foray into the proper world of horror, although the man’s no stranger to the world of tension and suspense (he has a border-town crime drama called SOUTHBOUND in the can).
BLACK, which is also said to boast supernatural elements, will take place over a span of 100 hours, a group of people on a bus are attacked by an unidentified monster terrorizing the nearby towns.
Sounds decent enough, but I wonder which will come first…this or JEEPERS CREEPERS 3.
But let’s hear it from y’all. You like the sound of BLACK to begin with, and do you think Jakubowicz will do the thing justice? Would you rather see Bertino direct? What’s up?
