Back in November, we brought you the teaser trailer for David Harris’ SAVAGE COUNTY (view it below), which began life as an eight-episode web series. We haven’t heard much about it since, but now we’ve got some intriguing news on this thriller, which pits teens against evil rednecks. (Haven’t seen that before.)

MTV is teaming up with Eventful to experiment with a social media campaign that will allow folks to vote if they want to see the indie horror film on MTV2. All you have to do is click right HERE and you’ve instantly indicated that you’re interested in SAVAGE COUNTY. If the flick gets 100,000 hits, it will be aired! (Sort of an odd experiment though, since MTV produced the film to begin with.)

SAVAGE COUNTY follows a group of teens that collide with their towns dark past when a prank gone wrong makes them the target of a family of bloodthirsty killers.

The flick stars Mimi Michaels, Rebekah Graf, Ken Luckey, Doug Haley, Melissa Carnell and Ana Ayora. Click right HERE to demand that SAVAGE COUNTY be shown on MTV2!

Let’s just hope it’s better than the hellish MTV horror effort MY SUPER PSYCHO SWEET 16.
