We’ve been anxiously awaiting the Xavier Gens-produced zombie flick THE HORDE for over two years now. Well, at long last, we know when we’ll be getting a look at this bad boy: AUGUST 11th!

Sadly, that’s not a theatrical release date, just Video OnDemand, courtesy of IFC. Still, it’s nice to know that we’ll finally be able to check out the cops-and-crooks-versus-zombies freakout in the comfort of our own homes. I know I’ll be hitting that shit up immediately, as I’ve loved the look of this mother ever since it strolled into my life back in 2008. It better not let me down!

In addition to that good news, Bad Taste.it nabbed a couple of new posters for the movie, one of them in “3D”. Obviously, we can’t really grasp the 3D effect on our monitors, but I guess we can imagine how cool it might look in person! (Hey I’m trying to look on the bright side here.) Scope them out below.

A posse of crooked cops, malevolent gangsters and a horde of walking dead are the centre point of this gruesome, tight, action packed, claustrophobic tale of retribution and escape. Penned like animals, on the top floor of a deserted high-rise block, these two opposing gangs find that they are not alone in the lair of bloodthirsty corridors of death. Joining forces to survive, they must reach ground level together or perish. Loaded with a bad ass attitude, guns, axes and extremely creative hand-to-hand combat sequences that project the fears and paranoia that are the fighting forces behind the need to survive, when caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time.
