Could this be a FOUNTAIN meets AVATAR wannabe, or just a beneficiary of the latter?

Word out of Heat Vision today posits that actor Channing Tatum (kicking ass there to the right) is attached to play the lead in a new sci-fi romantic epic called ION, a property Fox 2000 has a keen eye on picking up. Think the dude’s any match for Hugh Jackman and Sam Worthington though?

From an original spec script by British scribe Will Dunn, which actually made the rounds last year (prior to AVATAR making sci-fi bankable again, along with STAR TREK and DISTRICT 9), ION revolves around a man who travels to different Earths and dimensions in order to find his reincarnated lover. Tony and Ridley Scott are set to produce for their Free Scott filmmaking awning.

Let’s hear from you all though. You down with ION’s basic premise? What about Tatum strapping on the spacesuit…You with it?

Slit a wrist and pour some blood below!
