MPAA rates The Last Exorcism, will it be R or PG-13?

A head scratcher?!?

In the last couple of days, press material for Daniel Stamm’s THE LAST EXORCISM has been steadily churned out by Lionsgate. We’ve seen a new viral website and international poster for the picture, and today the MPAA codified the content of the damn thing.

According to BoxOffice Mojo, THE LAST EXORCISM earned a PG-13 for “disturbing violent content and terror, some sexual references and thematic material.” Wackness!

I gotta say, going by the pretty effective last trailer for the Eli Roth produced horror flick, I was sure the shite would get an R-fitting. As it stands, this bastard may end up more unadoptable than THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE and THE HAUNTING OF MOLLY HARTLEY.

What do ya say? At once as stoked and shocked as I? Lovin’ THE EXPENDABLES rating, not so much for THE LAST EXORCSIM.

By the way, the latter hits theaters August 27th.
