There’s sacrilege, and then there’s the FRIGHT NIGHT remake, which continues to move forward with increasing speed over at Dreamworks (the f*cks). And according to THR’s Heat Vision Blog, the film just moved further along with two additional actors added to the cast.
Last time we heard from the remake, it was said to be set in Las Vegas (HERE), and now the new casting news all but confirms this, as David Tennant (right; DR. WHO) and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (below; KICK-ASS, SUPERBAD) have joined Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, and Toni Collette (below) in the remake.
How does it confirm the Vegas connection, you ask? Check it: Tennant is going to play Peter Vincent, a Las Vegas magician whose show revolves around horror-movie imagery. Vincent says he is a vampire expert, but when the teen comes to him for assistance, he doesn’t offer any help.
He’s the Roddy McDowall character from the original (if you didn’t catch it). Mitnz-Plasse plays Yelchin’s friend who decides to join the vampire dark side in order to be cool. What a loser, if you ask me, but hey–that’s his character, so what are you gonna do?
