Hope Davis and two others joins cast of Shawn Levy’s Real Steel

DreamWorks continues to get a casting jump on Shawn Levy’s robot-boxing picture REAL STEEL, a flick set for a November 18, 2011 release. So far we know Hugh Jackman is playing the lead as a washed up ex-pugilist looking for a vicarious shot of redemption, with Dakota Goyo playing his son. We also caught wind last month that HURT LOCKER stars Anthony Mackie and Evangeline Lilly are also set to hit the canvas, alongside Kevin Durand. Well gang, looks the cast has just gotten a nice dose of hope. Hope Davis, that is!

According to Variety, Davis (seen right) is joined by veteran character actor James Rebhorn (THE GAME, CARLITO’S WAY) and relative newbie Olga Fonda (LOVE HURTS, seen below) as the latest to join the sci-fi tale. No word yet on what specific role Davis and the others will be portraying.
