Last Friday we sparked a healthy debate about the merits of HBO hit show “True Blood,” after seeing a season 3 preview trailer and new one-sheet. I called the show a cross between TWILIGHT and “Buffy,” then caught subsequent shit for it in the talkbacks. Well folks, time for an encore. You see, the entire trailer for the 3rd campaign, which airs June 13th, has just leapt across the wire at us. Nab a peek and let the opinion’s fly!

While I can’t say the extended trailer does much to sway my opinion of the show (in fact, the picture quality alone only enhances my stance), I’ve definitely heard enough from you guys and ghouls to at least consider giving the 3rd season a chance. Hell, if all goes well, I may even dig up season 1 & 2 on DVD. Really, I may!

So what does the new trailer entail? Sookie tirelessly looking for her boyfriend Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), who doesn’t want to be found. We also see the introduction of werewolves to the show, thankfully not in the guise of poor CG renderings. These werewolves actually look real. Imagine that. Oh, and Lou Pines tavern is said to be “the oldest were-bar in Mississippi.” A were-bar? And here I thought BK was onto something with a whopper bar!

As I’m sure most of you are aware by now, “True Blood” stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Ryan Kwanten, Deborah Ann Woll, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Alexander Skarsgard, Chris Bauer, Nelsan Ellis, William Sanderson, Carrie Preston (below) and Todd Lowe.

Remember to set those DVRs to record starting June 13th.

Enjoy the new trailer!
