Filmmaking can be a pretty horrifying experience–remember the season of Project Greenlight when they were making FEAST? I thought director John Gulager was gonna kill himself over all the stress and bullshit he went through making that movie. See? Horrifying.
Well now there’s a new movie coming to DVD in the UK that takes it to the idea of horror-induced filmmaking to the next level. Well, not the next level, but to a different level altogether. It’s called RESURRECTING THE STREET WALKER and it goes a little something like this:
An ambitious young filmmaker discovers an abandoned and incomplete horror movie from the 1980s and decides to finish it – big mistake.
I love synopsis’s that directly quote Schwarzenegger in LAST ACTION HERO. Classic. So anyway, it’s about a horror movie director trying to finish a movie that should never have been started in the first place. I can dig that, yo! It’s set to hit DVD (UK only at this point) on June 28, 2010, packed with the following features:
Not a bad deal for a movie you’ve probably have never heard of before. But the concept is intriguing, the cover art (as seen below) is actually kind of rockin’, and some dude from FHM called it ‘Completely Original’ so who am I to disagree?
RESURRECTING THE STREET WALKER stars Tom Shaw and is directed by Ozgur Uyanik. Look for it on DVD in the UK June 28, 2010.
