Four days from now it’ll be exactly one year since our man JimmyO reviewed the DVD for David Bryant’s rustic U.K. horror flick DEAD WOOD, and wouldn’t ya know it…as the world has turned again, we’ve come full circle. You see, not only is DEAD WOOD (co-directed by Sebastian Smith) currently available on DVD, word about Bryant’s follow up solo project, a vampire outing called FLESH & BLOOD, has just come across. Let’s get into it, yeah?
Produced by Richard J. Wood (EXHIBIT A), FLESH & BLOOD is a low budget dark brooding feature set in the English coastal town of Hastings (1066 and all that). At its beating heart lies a question of choice, sacrificing everything out of a misplaced loyalty to family or seizing control of your own destiny to find happiness. When love enters the equation the answer becomes clear, but sometimes moving on can be deadly.
The flick will all be shot on location in the old town which is a visually unique place with hundreds of years old architecture and very cool spooky alleyways.
Sounds solid, anytime creepy old London is shot on film for real, it’s usually always worth a watch. And if FLESH & BLOOD is as good as JimmyO found DEAD WOOD to be, here’s a flick we all need to keep a firm eye on between now and its release. And guess what, we’ve got just the way to that!
