Here’s a potentially fresh and fun take on the zombie genre: a flick in pre-production called ROSE (3D) – from writer John Skipp – that is being tagged as “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse meets NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD”. I can dig it!
Chatting with Dread Central, Skipp described the movie thusly: “Rose is a super-hot, hilarious ex-mental patient with a cable access puppet show in downtown LA. But now it’s 48 hours into the zombie apocalypse so she’s running rescue stations and musical numbers round the clock, trying to keep people’s hope alive…and periodically pausing to pulverize the skulls of the zombies trying to bust down her door.”
Skipp plans on shooting this summer (with the Meduza 3D camera), although since times are tough, he’s taken to asking you, the fans, for some help funding the film. To learn more about that, click HERE.
Cutie Chase McKenna (pictured below) will play the titular mental patient. David Fine and Chris Cirigliano also star.
