The godfather of American zombie cinema, George A. Romero, sees the latest chapter in his undead saga debut on VOD tomorrow (April 30th). A month from now, SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD will make its way into theaters (May 28th). Makes sense then, coming hot on the heels of the official theatrical trailer for the film, that we have a fresh new clip to either enjoy in terror or ridicule. Care to be the judge?
No doubt playing to the darkish humor Romero’s latest outing engenders, the new clip below features a zombie, who doesn’t yet know it’s a zombie (do they ever), catch a barbecue fork plum in the forehead, weeny still attached. Now that’s what I call a gourmet f*ckin chef!
From the twisted mind of Romero, SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD crops up on an island off the coast of North America, where local residents simultaneously fight a zombie epidemic while hoping for a cure to return their un-dead relatives back to their human state.
Alan Van Sprang, Kenneth Welsh, Devon Bostick, Kathleen Munroe, Richard Fitzpatrick, Athena Karkanis, Stefano DiMatteo, Joris Jarsky and Eric Woolfe all play a role in the film.
Enjoy the violent humor!
