With May upon us, we’re a measly three months and change from seeing one of the most star studded action flicks of all time. Of course, I’m talking about Sly Stallone’s THE EXPENDABLES, on which he managed to blend the testosterone levels of such iconic screen vets as Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Eric Roberts, Dolph Lundgren, Danny Trejo and Arnold “I’ll be back” Schwarzenegger (just to name a few). With that level of drawing power, this is the kinda flick that should do well globally, not just here in the states. Getting a leg up is Japan, which just released a teaser trailer and native one-sheet for the film. Cop a dose below!

Co-written with Sly by David Callaham, THE EXPENDABLES is a hard-hitting action/thriller about a group of mercenaries hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator. Once the mission begins, the men realize things arent quite as they appear, finding themselves caught in a dangerous web of deceit and betrayal. With their mission thwarted and an innocent life in danger, the men struggle with an even tougher challenge one that threatens to destroy this band of brothers.

Aisde from the action Gods mentioned above, the film features such macho personalities as Randy Couture, Steve Austin, Terry Crews, David Zayas, and perhaps the most dubious casting choice, Jet Li. Giselle Itie, Lauren Jones, and Charisma Carpenter (below) lead the charge of much needed eye candy in a jungle of oiled chests and pulsating pythons.

August 13th yo, get EXPENDABLE!
