Watch the green-band trailer for George Romero’s Survival of the Dead!

It’s kinda hard to believe that, given all the video footage we’ve seen from George Romero’s SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD, we haven’t seen an official green-band trailer. Seriously, we’ve seen a red-band trailer, multiple clips, production trailers, behind-the-scenes featurettes, but no effin’ green band. Weird, right? Well all that shite’s changing this instant. Without further adieu, let’s cop a peek at the official trailer for the film below!

What strikes me about the new look is the heightened level of tongue in cheek humor that some of the other clips seemed to omit in favor of the harder, gorier material. Obviously, as a green band, the level of violence this go around is pared down, but Romero’s biting intent still seeps through (whether he retains it throughout is another question altogether, just see our man THE ARROW’S REVIEW).

Hitting VOD on April 30th (good call Lance), and limited theaters on May 28thSURVIVAL OF THE DEAD sets up on an island off the coast of North America, where local residents simultaneously fight a zombie epidemic while hoping for a cure to return their un-dead relatives back to their human state.

Alan van Sprang, Kenneth Welsh, Kathleen Munroe (below), Devon Bostick, Richard Fitzpatrick, Athena Karkanis, Stefano DiMatteo, Joris Jarsky and Eric Woolfe all star.
