So a pretty rad sounding new sci-fi thriller called 15 TILL MIDNIGHT just made our acquaintance. It comes from the pen of actor-writer Brandon Slagle, and brought to fruition by actor-turned-director Wolfgang Meyer (THE GATE OF FALLING ANGELS). Wanna peep some deets on this wild beast? Get low y’all!
With filming set to wrap at the end of this month, 15 TILL MIDNIGHT is an Emotionally and visually intense film, much in the vein of works such as DARK CITY and VANILLA SKY. The film details the story of Lukas Reyes, a man trapped in a seemingly endless loop between parallel existences, one being occupied by his spouse, Sera, and another being occupied by a relation from another life, Nara. As worlds seem to begin colliding and further bleeding into one another, he finds himself pursued by a group of shadow-men known as “The Knowers.” The common thread between everything being a significance with the time 11:45 – fifteen minutes until midnight.
Pretty cool premise, wouldn’t ya say? Time travel flicks are always tricky in terms of avoiding plot-holes and continuity errors, but DARK CITY & VANILLA SKY aren’t bad forerunners to look to. If I had my druthers, we’d have a cross between something like DONNIE DARKO and TIMECRIMES, but hey…beggars can’t be choosers!
Aside from Slagle, Andrea Chen, Dee Martin, Devanny Pinn (below), Andrew Roth, Olivia Baseman, Antonio San Miguel, Manoush, Thomas Daniel, Lauren Francesca, Jonathan Moody and Jeff Quinlan all play a role in the flick.
