While it’s somewhat bizarre to think this, it’s looking like Cary Elwes may be the go-to guy for low-budget horror films with big promise. I think of Elwes as Wesley in THE PRINCESS BRIDE and the dude from ROBIN HOOD: MEN IN TIGHTS, but lately it’s his role as Dr. Gordon from SAW that comes to mind, especially when hearing about the upcoming horror-thriller PSYCH: 9, which Elwes co-stars with the great Michael Biehn.
Could PYSCH: 9 be another surprise success like SAW? It’s always possible, and if it happens… I guess we’d have to attribute it to Elwes’s involvement. Anyway, the new UK quad poster for PSYCH: 9 was revealed today, leading me to believe the film will more than likely rock our socks off.
I don’t know whether it’s the terrified eyes of Sara Foster, or the mysterious figure lurking menacingly in the background, but I’m digging this poster, and I’m getting good vibes as to quality of the film. I know, don’t judge a film by its poster, but as I haven’t seen the flick… that’s all I can do at this point!
PSYCH: 9 goes a little something like this: A young woman with a troubled past takes a job at a recently closed hospital to collate the hardcopy patient records. Working alone in the building after dark, she experiences a series of unsettling events that lead her to believe the hospital may be connected to a number of recent murders in the area. To uncover the truth, she has to solve the mystery of her own disturbing past.
