Well, here’s the sweetest boxset I’ve ever seen.
These images, from Blu-Ray.com, show us the alleged Polish packaging for the upcoming ALIEN ANTHOLOGY, which we last wrote about HERE. As you can see from the image below, it’s a big ‘ol alien egg that lifts up to reveal the Blu-Ray box. Can’t you just see this baby sitting pretty on your shelf? I sure as shit can.
The site is quick to add that this is not necessarily official, since Fox has not made any announcement yet. And as I mentioned, this is apparently for the Polish release, and is a limited edition. Different territories may get different box sets, although I’d be willing to bet that the Region 1 release would be just as cool as this one.
While no specs have been revealed, this is apparently going to make the already-awesome DVD set (known as the “Quadrilogy”) look puny. (One of the very special features is that neither AvP or AvP:R have been included.) THE ALIEN ANTHOLOGY is scheduled to come out in the fourth quarter of this year, presumably December. Cannot wait…
