Nothing says ‘hello Monday!’ like a casting announcement of this quality. Not just because the casting in question is for a super-hottie, but because the project itself is sounding cooler by the minute.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the sexy Anna Friel has joined the cast of Neil Burger’s THE DARK FIELDS, starring Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro, Abbie Cornish, and Tomas Arana. The film is based on the novel by Alan Glynn, and it goes a little something like this:
[The film] follows a down-and-out writer (Cooper) who gets his hands on a top-secret pharmaceutical drug that makes one smarter. He experiences sudden financial and social success but soon discovers that the drug has lethal and lasting side effects. Before long, mysterious antagonists are pursuing him.
Sounds somewhere in the realm of ‘mind-f*ck movies’ and that, my friends, is A-OK with me! Plus, who doesn’t want to see the great Robert DeNiro on the big screen? Friel was in last summer’s craptacular LAND OF THE LOST and a buttload of television shows like PUSHING DAISIES. But what can you say other than, when you’re hot, you’re hot, and Anna Friel… you’re hot!
