Wow, here’s a pleasant surprise. The German trailer for Takeshi Shimizu’s SHOCK LABYRINTH 3D is filled with all kinds of trippy visuals and creepy happenings. (Although maybe the weirdest thing is listening to a German dude narrate it.) Perhaps Shimizu hasn’t been ruined by his time in Hollywood or making about 85 GRUDGE movies. Looks like it has promise, although there’s no word on a US release. It hits Germany on MAY 13th and, according to IMDb, Argentina in August.

SHOCK LABYRINTH 3D is about a group of teenagers dealing with the sudden return of a friend who went missing a decade ago. When the friend falls ill, they take her to a hospital but end up trapped in a labyrinthine haunted house.

Check out the trailer below! (Quick note: Don’t be discouraged by its routine first minute, it picks up quite a bit toward the end.)
